Towards digital schools

In the context of this project, we modeled the transformation process of a school in cooperation with the Käthe-Kollwitz-Gymnasium Berlin and investigated it in a design-oriented way.

Digitising education in schools is a complex undertaking that requires looking at the capabilities and needs of all groups involved. With our cooperation between the Weizenbaum Institute and the Käthe Kollwitz Gymnasium, we are trying to take a look at the complex events surrounding digititalisation in schools as part of the project "Schule digital gestalten". The project involves the modelling of the entire digititalisation process. Among other things, we apply interdisciplinary methods, e.g. process modeling tools, to visualize and analyze the entire process.

As a key outcome of the project, we have developed the "Canvas Digitaler Unterricht". We invite teachers to try out the Canvas for their own lessons and look forward to receiving feedback.
