Dr. Olga Abramova
Person
Olga Abramova has joined the University of Potsdam as a research assistant in 2017. As an associated researcher at the Weizenbaum Institute, she contributes to the projects:
- Videoconference use and online meeting outcomes in collaboration with Margarita Gladkaya and Prof. Hanna Krasnova
- Objective measures of Social Media use and users' well-being
- Facebook clutter and its consequences with in collaboration with Jana Gundlach
Olga Abramova studied Economics (Bachelor) and Strategic Management of Corporate Finance (Master) at the Higher School of Economics (Russia) from 2007 to 2013. In 2014, she completed a Master's degree in Economics and Management Science (MEMS) at Humboldt University. In her Master Thesis, written in cooperation with the Technical University of Darmstadt, she investigated the value of personal information from a user's perspective when installing third-party applications. Thereafter, she became a doctoral candidate and a research assistant at the Software Business & Information Management Department at the Technical University of Darmstadt, where she has successfully defended her Ph.D. thesis "ICT-enabled Connectedness: Implications for Sharing Economy and Communication Contexts" in January 2020. Her research results have been published at national and international conferences like International Conference on Information Systems, European Conference on Information Systems, Internationale Tagung Wirtschaftsinformatik, and in the Journal "Die Unternehmung."
