Dr. Jana Gonnermann-Müller
About
Jana Gonnermann-Müller is an associate researcher in the “Security and Transparency of Digital Processes” research group at the Weizenbaum Institute and an academic researcher in the “Humans and AI” research area at Zuse Institute Berlin.
Her research focuses on the intersection of humans and AI, particularly in educational contexts and in supporting human decision- making processes. She is passionate about exploring how AI can meaningfully support learning and teaching and develops concrete systems with schools to integrate AI effectively into educational practice.
Jana Gonnermann-Müller studied Psychology at Humboldt University in Berlin (Bachelor’s and Master’s) and earned her PhD at the University of Potsdam, where she investigated the use of Augmented Reality (AR) in craft and production industries. She regularly presents her research at internationally recognized conferences in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Educational Psychology, and Information Systems and publishes in leading journals in these fields. She is particularly committed to translating her research into practice, especially in schools and craft and vocational training institutions.
