Jakob Metzger studied law at the Albert-Ludwigs-University in Freiburg and at the National Law School of India University in Bangalore, India. He completed his legal clerkship at the Berlin Appellate Court (Kammergericht) – which included stations at the Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection and at the German Embassy in Phnom Penh, Cambodia – with the second state examination.
Since December 2017, he has been working as a research assistant at the Weizenbaum-Institute and as a doctoral candidate at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, focusing on the legal implications of a data-driven economy.
