Background

Integrating artificial intelligence (AI) in industrial settings has transformed decision-making with real-time insights and data-driven analytics through AI dashboards. However, challenges arise in interpreting data seamlessly, potentially influencing decisions through over-reliance on AI or facing resistance due to algorithm aversion. Especially in knowledge-intensive domains, decision-making tasks are prominent, as Campbell (1988) outlined. Decision-making can involve AI-supported dashboards for informed decisions.

Objective

The empirical objective is to clarify perceptions associated with AI systems, testing the influence of labeling on perception and decision-making.
