About
Pablo Schumacher studied law at the faculty of law of the university in Basel, Switzerland, where he was assistant to Professor Dr. Herbert Zech from 2015 to 2017. He wrote his published master's thesis on the subject of "The waiver of the private use exception according to art. 19 URG in the review of general terms and conditions". After his studies, he completed internships at a first-instance civil court, a Basel commercial law firm and a smaller law firm focused on civil law before he was admitted to the bar.
After his time as a Research Fellow (start August 2020), Pablo Schumacher is now Associate Researcher of the Research Group 16. As part of his work, he is, among other things, advancing research on his dissertation on the topic of the IP-protectability of trained AI-Systems and the possibilities of using such systems as means of security and financing.
