Dr. Pablo Jost

Dr. Pablo Jost is a postdoctoral communication scholar at the University of Mainz researching the impact of digitalization on the communication of political and social actors. He is further monitoring anti-democrats on Telegram as co-founder & strategic consultant at BAG „Gegen Hass im Netz“.

His research interests include the representation of social controversies in the media as well as the communication of political actors and their adaptation to the changes in the digital media. His current research focuses on the communication of radical and extremist protest movements on digital platforms and its offline effects.

At the Weizenbaum-Institute, he explores the methodological challenges of identifying and classifying noninstitutional actors on digital platforms.
