Ferdinand Müller
Person
While studying law in Leipzig and Munich, Ferdinand Müller already dealt with the intersections of law and digitalization, including a thesis on crowdinvesting. From 2012 to 2016 he worked as a student assistant for Professor Dr. Marc Desens. After his studies, he was involved in a start-up foundation alongside an employment at KPMG Law in Leipzig. During his legal clerkship ("Referendariat") he also worked at the Federal Ministry of Economics in the Department for Digital and Innovation Policy.
Since August 2019 he has been a doctoral student at the Weizenbaum Institute. In his disseration he works on the use of artificial intelligence in legal transactions and therefore discusses the basics of private law. Further topics of his work are the civil law handling of data, data protection in general and the regulation of digital risks.
