Best Process Mining PhD Dissertation Award 2023 for Stephan Fahrenkrog-Petersen

Weizenbaum Scientist Dr. Stephan Fahrenkrog-Petersen received the Best Process Mining PhD Dissertation Award 2023 for his PhD thesis on Privacy-preserving Process Mining.

As part of the International Conference on Process Mining 2023 in Rome, the Weizenbaum scientist Dr. Stephan Fahrenkrog-Petersen received the Best Process Mining PhD Dissertation Award 2023. This prize is given out annually by the IEEE Task Force for Process Mining.

The PhD thesis in Computer Science at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin introduces several novel anonymization algorithms for privacy-preserving process mining. Some of the algorithms developed by Dr. Fahrenkrog-Petersen have already been integrated into the leading Python framework for process mining, PM4Py. Currently, Stephan Fahrenkrog-Petersen is leading the research group ‚Security and Transparency of digital Processes’ at the Weizenbaum Institute. The group researches technologies for the analysis of business processes.
