Über

Lauri Wessel forscht zu digitalter Transformation, data governance und digital health. Am Weizenbaum-Institut arbeitet er mit Jan Mendling zusammen am Thema "Digitale Transformation" und insbesondere der Seminarreihe "WIS Quarterly". 

Lauri ist Professor für Informationsmanagement und digitale Transformation an der European New School of Digital Studies (ENS); einer transdisziplinären zentralen wissenschaftlichen Einrichtung an der Europa-Universität Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder). Zuvor war er Professor an der Universität Bremen und Juniorprofessor an der Freien Universität Berlin. Ebenso war er assoziierter Professor an der Norwegischen Technischen Universität (NTNU).

Lauri ist derzeit Präsident der Special Interest Group Digital Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Transformatio (SIG DITE) in der Association for Information Systems (AIS). Seine Arbeiten wurden in Fachzeitschriften der Wirtschafitsinformatik wie Journal of the Association of Information Systems, European Journal of Information Systems, Information Systems Journal und Information and Organization veröffentlicht. Ebenso hat er in Organisationstheorie-Journalen wie Journal of Business Ethics sowie Medizin-Journalen wie BMC Geriatrics veröffentlicht.
