Prof. Axel Bruns
Axel Bruns ist ein Australian Laureate Fellow und Professor am Digital Media Research Centre der Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australien, und Chief Investigator im ARC Centre of Excellence for Automated Decision-Making and Society. Zu seinen Büchern gehören Are Filter Bubbles Real? (2019) und Gatewatching and News Curation: Journalism, Social Media, and the Public Sphere (2018) sowie die Sammelbände Routledge Companion to Social Media and Politics (2016) und Twitter and Society (2014). Seine aktuelle Forschung konzentriert sich auf die Untersuchung der öffentlichen Online-Kommunikation mit besonderem Augenmerk auf die Dynamik von Polarisierung, Parteilichkeit, und problematischen Informationen. 2017-19 war er Präsident der Association of Internet Researchers.
