Weizenbaum Symposium: The Future of Work and Innovation in a Networked Society

The Weizenbaum Institute for the Networked Society is organizing a symposium on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 in Berlin on the subject of “The Future of Work and Innovation in a Networked Society”.

The aim of the symposium is to bring together different disciplinary perspectives (e.g., from communication and social sciences, legal studies, computer science, economics science and engineering science) on the transformation of the working world and of innovation models in the digital society and to identify and discuss the key challenges for the creation of a self-determined, creative and innovative society.

The Weizenbaum Institute is an academic partner of Tagesspiegel’s Digital Future Science Match, which will take place on Monday, May 14, 2018 at KOSMOS Berlin. The Digital Future Science Match 2018 is an international digital conference which brings together up to 50 leading academics who will be presenting the latest research findings and their visions for a digital future. As a participant of the Weizenbaum Symposium you have the opportunity to also attend the Science Match.

Programme

The symposium will highlight current changes in the world of work and innovation through digitalisation and the internet, thus linking up with the theme “Working Worlds of the Future” of the Science Year 2018.
