Anni Carlsson received her Master of Laws degree from Uppsala University in Sweden in 2014. She is currently a doctoral candidate in constitutional law at Uppsala University. Her doctoral project focuses on the constitutional protection of freedom of expression in social media. The project comprises a comparative study of the constitutional free speech laws and their adaptation to social media in Sweden, USA and Germany. As a part of her doctoral, she has previously been a visiting student researcher at University of California, Berkeley, USA.
During the summer of 2019 Anni will spend June and July as a visiting fellow at the Weizenbaum Institute, working with Research Group 16 Shifts in Norm Setting.
