Andrea Hamm is researcher in the group "Digitalization, Sustainability, and Participation" at the Weizenbaum Institute for the Networked Society. She is researching interdisciplinarily between the fields Human-Computer-Interaction and Journalism Studies. Her work focuses on the socio-political dimensions of digitalization, sustainability transitions, and the role of digital technologies, incl. the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence, among civic actor groups, such as journalists, engaged people, and citizens, in social change and innovation processes. In her current work, she is interested in better understanding modes of participation in varying contexts of digitalization projects.
