Alice Stewart

Alice Stewart is a hardware hacker, founder and educator. With a background in Art and Design from Kingston University, her work seeks to demystify technology and encourage DIY attitudes towards hacking and making. As an educator and creative technologist, she has taught internationally and established Hackspace workshops at institutions such as Kingston University and the Royal College of Art in London.

In 2019 Alice founded Touchy-Feely Tech – an educational platform that combines Sex Ed with hands-on STEM education to evolve the conversation around intimate technologies. In the framework of her junior fellowship in the research group 'Critical Maker Culture' at the Weizenbaum Institute, she will be exploring the practice of feminist pedagogy and human-computer interaction from a feminist perspective.
