Dr. Yang is the author of a forthcoming book on US right-wing media, titled Weapons of Mass Deception: How Right-wing Media Wage Political Warfare and Undermine American Democracy. His research on political communication and digital media has appeared in leading academic journals such as Journal of Communication. A frequent media commentator, Dr. Yang has been interviewed by various news organizations including the Wall Street Journal, NBC News, AFP, CTV News, NPR, The Hill, The New Yorker, and Politiken. In 2022, Dr. Yang submitted his research on US right-wing media to the January 6 Committee as Statements for Record.
