Roman Proskalovich
Person
The main focus of Roman Proskalovich`s work within the research group is on theoretical and practical aspects of monetary economics in the context of the blockchain technology. In particular the research is dedicated to implementation of monetary policies in protocols of cryptocurrencies. Key research topics include monetary techniques for stabilization of the purchasing power of cryptocurrencies and measurement of velocity of cryptocurrencies. Roman received his Masters Degree and currently conducts his Ph.D. research at the Faculty of International Relations of the Belarusian State University. He has also studied at the Humboldt University of Berlin and at the Business School of the Deusto University in Bilbao (Basque Country, Spain).
Besides academic research Roman Proskalovich has also worked for the industry and government: he has more than 8 years of practical experience in the field of economics, finance and investment, including 3 years at the governmental agency, which facilitates foreign investment, analyzes macroeconomic processes and participates in the development of investment policies

Fields of research
Main research areas are related to international economics and finance. Roman has worked on topics such as FDI promotion, digital transformation of international economy, behavioral aspects of international financial markets. For his Ph.D. thesis, he is currently focusing on the topic of platform economy and international freelance.
