Richard Huber
Person
Richard Huber, born in 1965, holds a Dipl.-Ing. (FH) degree in Technical Informatics. He studied Mechanical Engineering in Munich and Technical Informatics in Berlin, specializing in human-machine interaction, systems analysis, IT security, media applications, and data protection.
Since February 2017, he has been working as a security researcher at Fraunhofer FOKUS in strategic development within the business unit for Networked and Civil Security (ESPRI). From 2011 to 2017, he served as CIO of the Europa University Viadrina, responsible for redesigning the university's IT landscape. Previously, from 1999 to 2011, he was an IT project manager at FIZ CHEMIE Berlin. In earlier roles, he worked as a game programmer in Canada and a user interface programmer in the IT industry. He is a topic mentor and co-editor for the 'Digitalization & Integrity' section of the journal comply. He also delivers lectures, conducts training, and provides courses on IT security, employee awareness, and IT security solutions
