About

Lars Gerhold is Professor for the Psychology of Sociotechnical Systems at the Technical University of Braunschweig and Scientific Director of the Forschungsforums Öffentliche Sicherheit and the Future Security Lab. Previously, he was Professor of Interdisciplinary Security Research at the Free University of Berlin. He conducts research on safety-critical socio-technical systems, perception and management of risk and in-security, digitalisation of civil protection, technology assessment, knowledge transfer & science communication. He is Principal Investigator at the Weizenbaum Institute and the Einstein Center Digital Future (ECDF). Lars Gerhold has led numerous inter- and transdisciplinary research networks in civil security research and edits the Schriftenreihe Sicherheit (www.schriftenreihe-sicherheit.de).
