Katika Kühnreich
Former Research Fellow
Katika Kühnreich studied Political Science and Sinology in Germany and China. Her main focus is on the governmental and societal handling of dissent and the implications of digitalization. In her Master thesis „The External Harmonization of Interior Uprisings – ‘Harmonious Society’ and ‘Mass Incidents’ in China” she analysed the Chinese government’s handling of dissent with regard to the governmental program of the „Harmonious Society”. After finishing her degree, she started researching China’s so-called „Social Credit Systems” and the impact of techniques like gamification and scoring on societies.
