Gilberto Vieira
About
Gilberto Vieira is a PhD student in Urban Studies at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná - Brazil and has been researching the centrality of urban latinamerica peripheries in the era of data coloniality. He is part of Jararaca (jararaca.org), a research group in urban technopolitics. Gilberto is also co-funder of data_labe (datalabe.org), a data journalism lab in Rio de Janeiro run by young favela's residents who work by generating, searching, analyzing and visualizing data on gender, race, education, territory and digital rights. In Weizenbaum, Gilberto is a Visiting Researcher in the Diversity and New Commons research group.
