Legal Policy Advisor for Commenting on Legislative Procedures

About

In her role as a Legal policy advisor for commenting on legislative procedures at the Weizenbaum Institute, Charlotte Mysegades observes and analyses current digital policy developments. She prepares statements and position papers on legislative proposals related to digital transformation, working at the intersection of research, politics, and society.

She previously completed her legal traineeship at the Higher Regional Court of Berlin, undertaking placements at the Federal Foreign Office and the German Women Lawyers' Association. She also gained professional experience in the European Affairs Department of the German Bundestag and in several law firms. Charlotte studied law at Humboldt University of Berlin, specialising in intellectual property law. Study visits to Lisbon and Melbourne further deepened her knowledge of international law, particularly with regard to human rights.

She is also a member of the German Women Lawyers' Association. She is interested in questions related to artificial intelligence, copyright, human rights protection and gender justice in the digital space.
