Benjamin Ferschli is a PhD student at the University of Oxford in the field of political economy and economic sociology of work.
His dissertation focuses on the impact of automation on industrial labor and the structural transformation of the Central and Eastern European automotive industry, with a special focus on Austria.
In the course of his stay at the research group "Working with AI" at the Weizenbaum Institute, Benjamin explores barriers, limits and constraints to the development and implementation of new industrial automation technologies. He focuses on the role and perspective of automation engineers as well as in the automotive industry.
