Dr. Balázs Bodó

Former Research Fellow

Balázs Bodó is an economist, senior socio-legal researcher at the Institute for Information Law, University of Amsterdam. He is the founding director of the Blockchain & Society policy Research Lab, an €1.5M ERC starting grant funded 5-year research initiative into the legal and policy issues around distributed ledgers and other decentralized technologies. He has conducted a number of interdisciplinary studies into the use, and economic impact of p2p technologies in the copyright domain, on the regulation of AI systems in the information personalisation domain, and has been active in developing novel research methods and approaches to study the use of wide-scale technological systems. He will be working with the Trust in Distributed Environments research group in August and September, 2019 on his book project on the concept of technology-mediated trust.
