Prof. Dr. Annika Sehl

Dr Annika Sehl has held the Chair of Journalism with a focus on media structures and society at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt since October 2022. She is also a Research Associate of the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at the University of Oxford. Previously, she was Professor of Digital Journalism at the University of the Federal Armed Forces Munich. She has held professorships at the Technical University of Dortmund and the University of Hamburg, was a Research Fellow at the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at the University of Oxford for several years and a Visiting Scholar at the Department of Communication Studies at Northwestern University. She completed her studies and doctorate at the Technical University of Dortmund. Annika Sehl is currently Chair of the Journalism Studies Division of the International Communication Association (ICA).

Her research focuses on journalism studies and international comparative research, especially on public service media and the digital transformation of media.
