Aline Riera

Research Fellow, Open Fellowship

About

With a degree in Fine Arts and a master's degree in Visual Poetics from the University of São Paulo, Aline Riera is the founder of the collective, cooperative and association Señoritas Courier, made up of women and transgender people. She is a biker courier and cycloactivist. Collectively, she addresses the importance of digital inclusion to enable workers to appropriate the means to develop solutions for decent work, with an eye on Platform Cooperativism.

She is a member of research groups on new labor relations, such as Worker Owned Intersectional Platforms - WOIP (University of Toronto), the Institute for Advanced Studies - IEA (University of São Paulo) and the Platform-Work Inclusion Living Lab - P-WILL (Cost Action).

She participated as the only woman, the only delivery cyclist and the only cooperative representative in the Working Group for the regulation of platform work of the Ministry of Labor and Employment, throughout 2023.
