Adio Dinika

Former Research Fellow

Adio is a Doctoral candidate at the Bremen International Graduate School of Social Sciences (BIGSSS), and part-time intern at the Distributed Artificial Intelligence Research (DAIR) institute. He combines his background in business management and political science to navigate the evolving landscape of social research.

He has a broad research portfolio in platform labour and platform governance, focusing on the intricate dynamics within these sectors. His experience is enriched by fieldwork across several Sub-Saharan African countries, including Zimbabwe, South Africa, Rwanda, and Zambia, thereby providing him with a global perspective on these matters.

At the Weizenbaum Institute, Adio undertakes an investigation into the working conditions of those behind the scenes of Artificial Intelligence – the Data Workers. This research holds significant importance as it transcends academic outputs, aspiring to deliver tangible improvements to the working conditions of often overlooked and vulnerable data workers.
