Weizenbaum Early Career Researcher Support
The Weizenbaum Institute would like to give researchers at the beginning of their career the opportunity to come into contact with established and experienced researchers during their time at the institute and to learn from them. Therefore, we are pleased to introduce the program: Weizenbaum Early Career Researcher Support (WECRS).
The WECRS is an annual informal meeting between a director or PI and a doctoral candidate or postdoc. The supervision creates a confidential setting in which topics can be addressed individually and which also enables researchers to address sensitive issues. For doctoral candidates in particular, this is an independent and complementary offer to conventional supervision.
Benefits for early career researchers
- Insights into the career, working methods and diverse experiences of an experienced researcher.
- Reflection on personal potential and strategies for their own career steps.
- Mental support: Individual advice can be requested.
How you can participate:
- Please register with the career support team by e-mail.
- Once the supporter has agreed, the career management officer will make initial contact by email.
- It is the responsibility of the early career researcher to contact the supporter after the assignment has been confirmed in order to arrange appointments and communicate topics for discussion.
