Worker Led Movements Against AI: A Discussion with Tamara Kneese
Tamara Kneese, Director, Climate, Technology, and Justice Program at Data & Society will be presenting her new co-authored book titled, Notes Toward a Digital Workers' Inquiry.
The book captures first-hand accounts from the tech sector's resurgent labor movement as artifical intelligence gains ground in every facet of our lives. In her conversation with Sana Ahmad, Senior Researcher at the Research Group “Working with AI“, Weizenbaum Institute, Tamara Kneese will also talk about the recent report at Data & Society that looks at climate action in the tech industry, showing how internal, worker-led pressure campaigns around corporate sustainability intersect with larger grassroots coalitions that are fighting data centres. There will be books available for purchaising at the event.
