Dr. Yangliu Fan

Yangliu Fan is a postdoctoral researcher at the Weizenbaum Institute for the Networked Society. She is a fellow at the Institute for Media and Communication Studies at the Free University of Berlin. Before coming to Berlin, she studied for her PhD in Social Data Science at the Copenhagen Center for Social Data Science (SODAS) at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark. As a part of the research group „Digital News Dynamics“ at the Weizenbaum Institute, she uses digital trace data to explore and model digital news dynamics. Besides, she is broadly interested in social data analysis, complex networks, and the science of science.
