Stella Dörenbach

Former Research Fellow

Stella Dörenbach is a doctoral candidate in constitutional law at the interface of AI and justice, supervised by Prof. Ino Augsberg at Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel. In addition to law at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and Université Paris Nanterre, she studied philosophy and history at Freie Universität Berlin. She is a doctoral fellow of the Hans Böckler Foundation, a Zia Fellow of the ZEIT publishing house, and a fellow of the German Society for Law and Informatics (DGRI).

Her dissertation deals with the phenomenon of datafication of jurisprudence. Her research focuses on the investigation of new forms of intervention in (constitutional) law through digital processes and the associated new legal realities.

As a Research Fellow at the Weizenbaum Institute, she investigates disruptive effects on the state and society through automated case law analysis, taking advantage of synergy effects of the interdisciplinary team.
