Anna-Theresa Mayer

Doctoral Researcher

Anna-Theresa Mayer is a doctoral researcher at the Weizenbaum Institute for the Networked Society and a research assistant at the Institute for Media and Communication Studies at the Freie Universität Berlin. She studied Communication Science at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. During her studies, she worked in public service media research and as a student research assistant at the Department of Media and Communication (IfKW) in the division “Media Transformation”. Her research interests include the digital transformation of journalism, media quality and algorithmic selection on digital platforms. In the research group “News, Campaigns and the Rationality of Public Discourse” at the Weizenbaum Institute, she is studying the transfer of knowledge in the digital public sphere.
