Digitalization and Science

The research group examined the influence of digitalization on academic research. Digitalization was understood as a change in research and publication processes that promises to increase the benefits of research.

This research group conducted research at the Weizenbaum Institute from 2017 to 2022. In the newly launched research program, research will henceforth be organised in 16 research groups. These will be flanked and supported by the new Weizenbaum Digital Science Center.

The research group accompanied the other groups of the Weizenbaum Institute in the design of their research and publication processes and developed an Open Science infrastructure tailored to the users. This way, the Weizenbaum Institute analyzed its own research and publication practice and provides the research community (and also the public) with a research data infrastructure and other tools.
