JProf. Dr. Sofia Marlena Schöbel

About
Sofia Schöbel is an Assistant Professor in information systems at the University of Osnabrück. She has obtained her PhD about gamification in digital learning from the University of Kassel. Her research focuses on persuasive system design, designing smart personal assistants, digital transformation of services, metaverse, and data science. Her research has been published in different outlets such as the European Journal of Information Systems (EJIS), Communications of the AIS, or in leading information systems conferences such as ICIS or ECIS.
During her stay at the Weizenbaum Institute, Sofia Schöbel will work with researchers on a project involving ChatGPT and Data Science. In other words, it will be analyzed how data scientist, depending on their level of experience, can be supported in analyzing and evaluating data. Especially, we compare how unexperienced data scientists compared to experts can be supported by ChatGPT.
