Ljubiša Metikoš is a PhD Researcher at the University of Amsterdam. In his research, he employs both legal-philosophical and legal-doctrinal methods to examine how the use of AI in the judiciary is regulated under EU law. To this end, he analyses how we can safeguard the practice of contestation in adjudicatory procedures through transparency and human oversight measures.

This research relies on an interdisciplinary approach, combining insights from the domains of Information Law and legal-philosophy. It encompasses in particular Privacy Law, AI Law, normative theories on Procedural Justice, and Fundamental Human Rights Law.
