Kevin Carillon

Kevin Carillon is a PhD student at the University of Louvain (UCLouvain) in Belgium where he is a member of the research group "Laboratory for Analysis of Communication Systems in Organizations" (LASCO). His research primarily focuses on algorithms and media, with a particular interest in the datafication processes within public service media and their organizational implications. After winning the Prize of the Higher Audiovisual Council (Conseil Supérieur de l'Audiovisuel) in 2020, he began working on his thesis titled "Datafication, algorithmisation and personnalisation in the French-speaking Belgian Public Audiovisual Sector" under the supervision of Professor François Lambotte. Adopting an ethnographic approach in his work, he has conducted two participant observations within the Belgian Radio-Television of the French Community (RTBF).
