Dr Karl Dudmann
About
Karl Dudmann comes to Berlin from the UK, where he completed his PhD at Oxford University’s Institute for Science Innovation and Society. While at Weizenbaum he will be working on two research papers: one reviewing anthropology's contribution to academic knowledge on 'post-truth politics' and populism, and the other investigating the relationship between AI and climate change.
His background is in anthropology and STS, but he has also worked professionally in climate change communication and global climate politics. His research focuses on cases of public resistance to climate change and energy transition policies in industrialised contexts.
Alongside his research, he is a former fellow of Harvard's STS Program and ongoing member of the Science and Democracy Network. He is also a writer and photographer.
