Prof. Gila Kurtz
About
Gila Kurtz joins the Weizenbaum Institute as a Visiting Fellow within the "Education for the Digital World" research group. She currently serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Instructional Technologies at the Holon Institute of Technology (HIT), Israel. During her stay in Berlin, her research focuses on "Cross-Cultural Faculty Adoption of Generative AI in Academic Practice," investigating how different academic environments adapt to and integrate emerging AI tools.
With a strong background in educational leadership, Gila Kurtz’s scientific expertise lies at the intersection of pedagogy and technology. Her research interests center on Higher Education and Teaching and Learning processes, with a specific emphasis on GenAI and Hummonid Robots. She actively explores Student–Faculty readiness for the AI transformation, and its implications
