Christopher Katins

About
Christopher Katins is a PhD candidate at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and a research assistant at the Chair of Human-Computer Interaction. He is investigating both the opportunities and potential challenges that Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR) bring. The aim is to strike a balance between innovation and critical reflection to ensure that these technologies have a meaningful and responsible impact on society.
He completed his Bachelor in Mechatronics and Bachelor and Master in Information Systems Technology at the Technical University of Darmstadt. In his research, he uses both qualitative and quantitative methods to evaluate the above-mentioned technologies in participant studies. He is a member of the ACM SIGCHI (Special Interest Group on Computer-Human Interaction).
