Ceyda Erbay

About

Ceyda Erbay is a PhD student at the Humboldt University of Berlin and researches the adaptation of contract law dynamics to constantly evolving data markets. Her research focuses on the role that contract agreements can play in data markets and how to evaluate the benefits and gaps of the system under the Data Act.

She completed her law degree at Ankara University and her master's degree at Humboldt University of Berlin on “German and European Law and Legal Practice (LL.M.)”. During her master's degree, she focused in particular on contracts for digital products in German law (§§ 327a ff. BGB) and their European background (Digital Content Directive and Sale of Goods Directive). Her particular research interests are digitalization law and data law.

Ceyda Erbay is a registered lawyer with the Union of Turkish Bar Associations, she is an honorary member of TEMA Foundation (environmental protection) and LÖSEV (Foundation for Children with Leukemia). In addition, she has a scholarship for postgraduate studies abroad (YLSY), a certificate of outstanding achievement.
