About
Beatrice Ietto is an associate researcher at the Weizenbaum Institute with the research group “digitalization, sustainability and participation“. Currently looking at e-participation initiatives, focusing on their impact on traditional democratic structures and how they can be used to provide citizens a more efficient access to information and to give them a real possibility to shape public debate.
Previously working as research associate at the Einstein Center Digital Future on the research project BBBlockchain: an online participation platform based on blockchain technology for engaging citizens in urban development processes.
After receiving her Phd in media and cultural studies from Macquarie University (Sydney, Australia), Beatrice worked as post-doctoral researcher at the department of management of the Università Politecnica of Marche (Ancona, Italy) focusing on the impact of digitalisation on intangibles within the industry 4.0 context, human-centered digital innovation and industry 4.0.
