Prof. Dr. Anders Olof Larsson
Prof. Dr. Anders Olof Larsson (Ph. D., Uppsala University, 2012) is Professor of media and communication studies at Kristiania University College in Oslo, Norway. Larsson is a Senior Fellow at the Weizenbaum Institute during September of 2019. Prof. Dr. Larsson was previously a Postdoctoral Fellow working in the Social media and Agenda-Setting in election campaigns project at the Department of Media and Communication, University of Oslo.
During his time at the Weizenbaum Institute, Larsson will work within the RG 14: News, campaigns, and the rationality of public discourse research group, pursuing a comparative, cross-sectional project on the longitudinal development of social media platforms as tools for political campaigning.
Larsson’s research interests are generally geared towards organizational use of online media, in particular at the hands of political and media organizations. He also has a strong interest in methodological development, particularly in relation to what is commonly referred to as computational social science approaches.
