Jana Heim
About
Jana Heim is a research associate at the Weizenbaum Institute and the WZB Berlin Social Science Center. Conceptually and methodologically, her research is informed by data and algorithm studies, science and technology studies, organization studies, and the sociology of digitalization. She examines knowledge practices in the context of datafication and automation, with a focus on how the meanings of AI systems are evaluated and negotiated in practice. She holds an MA (with distinction) in Sociology and Technology Studies from Technical University Berlin and a BA from Heidelberg University.
