Prof. Dr. Martin Krzywdzinski
About
Martin Krzywdzinski is Director at the Weizenbaum Institute, Head of the Research Group “Globalization, Work and Production” at the WZB Social Science Center Berlin and Professor of International Labor Relations at Helmut Schmidt University Hamburg. Martin received his doctorate and habilitation from the Free University of Berlin.
His research focuses on technological change at work from a sociological perspective, and in particular on automation processes and their relationship to changes in work organization, skill requirements, and employment structures. His research has an international comparative orientation. Martin is a member of the Program Committee of the DFG Priority Program “Digitalization of the World of Work”, the Steering Committee of the GERPISA automotive research network, and the Industry 4.0 Research Advisory Board. 3. Martin has a long record of international research projects. His recent research focuses on the development of the platform economy and working conditions on platforms, the digitalization and automation of industrial work processes, and processes of negotiation and co-determination of technological change in the workplace.
