Tamara Atanasoska
About
Tamara Atanasoska is a research associate in the "Digitalisation and Opening up Science" research group at the Weizenbaum Institute. In the group she investigates the research practices of developing and applying AI.
She has a Bachelor's degree in computer science and has studied a Master's in Cognitive systems at the University of Potsdam with a focus on computational linguistics, machine learning and cognitive science. In her previous research she has applied interdisciplinary methodologies and approaches to investigate the ethical implications of AI.
Tamara draws in the perspective of the AI practitioner to her work, grounded in her extended experience in the tech industry as a software and machine learning engineer. She is also a contributor and maintainer of open-source projects in the fields of software and scientific computing. She is currently one of the maintainers of the AI safety and fairness project Fairlearn.
