Dr. Tamar Ashuri

About
Tamar Ashuri is a media sociologist interested in the role of power structures, processes of organizational innovation and social change. He originally focused his work on the implementation processes of digital technologies in the 'traditional' media (especially television and the press), examining in particular the tensions between economic constraints and cultural forces. More recently, he has become interested in the relationship between digital media and patterns of structural change. He is the author of two books and more than 30 articles on these topics, published in journals such as New media and Society, Journal of Commuter Mediated communication, Communication Theory and others.
