Raymundo is a seasoned Computer Engineer with years of expertise developing and maintaining software products and services. At the Community Data Centers research project, he’ll help with further exploration for imagining, grasping and realizing this kind of infrastructure. His experience in building software tools and data centers for grass-roots movements in Mexico will provide the research team with insights into existing projects that fit this topic. Raymundo’s greatest interest is in creating, maintaining and composting technology from a decolonial vision. He uses his expertise to help organizations that aim to build digital autonomy by creating or applying the appropriated tools and infrastructure. He also researches the impact of digital technologies in nature and societies, and has written articles and given talks in regards to data centers and the so called “artificial intelligence”, spotlighting the social, political and economical structures that allow them to arise.
