About

Marlene Kulla has been working at the Berlin Social Science Center (WZB) since 2023, first as a student assistant and later as a research associate. Since 2024, she has been an associate researcher at the Weizenbaum Institute, where she is contributing to the GENKIA research project on generative AI in the workplace.

Marlene is particularly interested in examining technological innovations in the context of work and understanding their impact on work practices, skills, and job profiles. In her current project, she is primarily focusing on the field of software development. She earned her master’s degree in sociology with a focus on the science and technology of work and a specialization in the digitalization of work at the Technical University of Berlin. Her master’s thesis was supported by a grant from the Chaos Computer Club.
