Laura Kunz, M.A.

Research Fellow

About

In her dissertation Laura Kunz is investigating the co-constitutional dynamics between the logic with which AI operates and the agency of workers, both individually and collectively. She examines how the possibilities for workers to determine how and what they work on are renegotiated when working with AI. Key interests are the different knowledge practices and the epistemic conceptualisation of problems and solutions as shaped by the use of AI. To present and further develop this project, she visits both the research group “Working with Artificial Intelligence” and “Technology, Power and Domination” in June.

With a background in Science and Technology Studies (STS) and the digitalisation of healthcare, Laura joined Juliane Jarke’s “Digital Societies” research group in May 2024 to expand her expertise on the topic of AI in the workplace. Prior to this, she was a project assistant for the “Smart4Health: Citizen-centred EU EHR exchange for personalised health” project and gained research experience at the STS unit at the University of Padua.
