About

Jamie Jana Jocher is a student research assistant at the Weizenbaum Institute within the research group “Well-being in the Digital World.” Her work there focuses on a short-term project examining the “Implications of the use of GenAI in higher education.”

She is currently a Master’s student in Sociology and Technology Studies at the Technical University of Berlin (TU Berlin). Previously, she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology at the University of Potsdam. Before joining the Weizenbaum Institute, she worked as a student assistant in the Department of Organizational and Administrative Sociology at the University of Potsdam and in the Department of Sociology of Technology and Innovation at TU Berlin.

Her research focuses on the sociology of technology and innovation. Her specific interests include human-AI interaction, AI companionship, digitalization, and social robotics.
